Q3 Evaluation

Ive used many types of different technologies to create my work, I will now include some screenshots in me editing with Weebly, a media technology used to help contruct, plan and research for my fan base page. From the screenshots on the left hand side, you can see that there is a list of elemets I could use into the website. For example, I was able to add buttons into the website to link me to different parts of the website. Also, weebly let me embed my final product from youtube into the fan page, this helped the work standout and keep consistency.

Weebly was really effective for me as it was easy to use but produced a really powerful website for the artist and audience to view.

My digipak - 

This editing session involved me starting the digipak. I had explain changes to my plan, and had explained it would be a better alternative to change my product to suit the audience and artist a lot more. The colour brings attention towards the audience as well as it showing us the power of the artist. 

I have not yet finished as I would like to include a quote on the back of the digipak as well as go add a few twitches to make it look more professional..

Digipak Analysis - Adele 21

Analysis Of Adele 21 - Digipak
The  front of the digipak reflects the colours and theme of Adele and her music, it is black and white and her as colourless. This shows the music is going to be somewhat sad. The green outling and 21 reflects the life that she has left this is perfect to represent her bold and strong character and successful career. We have used a similar green in our work when representing the character we had used Alexandra Palace where by we used many drone shots and location shots to recemble her life.
The back of the pack shows again a picture of adele and the songs from her album. We will use a similar type of theme, colourbase, and emotion into our work to help represent Adele and her character. The theme, colourbase, and emotion is universal and will attract all types of audience.

The digipak will help promote the artists music and give a theme and flavour out to the audience.
Its a way of marketing a product to the audience and allowing them to get hooked into the piece of work.

Planning: The different types of artists and audience influences

Being able to work in a group and share ideas was really enjoyable during the process of the course. We had managed to give a new meaning to this powerful song, and I believe we as a group worked hard and gave it our best. The reason we chose to do Adele and this song was because it did not have a music video to itself, so this gave us more ideas and imagination of things we could use to make it stand out and truly reflect Adeles theme and character. One reason we chose the her was also because she is a strong artist and truly represents the music of today. The artist is listened to by global audiences of all ages and cultures, and was born in our hometown (Tottenham) which gives us and even more reason to represent her.
Overall the song choice I believe was strong, bold, and representative of todays music.

SYNERGY INTO MY WORK


I will implement works of synergy though the music video and this will be ilustrated by the line of clothing. 

Ive decided to portray this through a vail ad black dress, the reason for doing so is because this represents Adeles character and her theme which is always strong and highlighting.This will be a perfect example of doing this and also show synergy into the work. The black will also stand out to the audience and address the main character to reinforce her importance.

Changes we made to the music video plans-

Originally, we had many ideas for our music video but due to time constraints and other factors, we decided to make changes which differed to some of the ideas we had originally come up with.

For example:

• Story: We intended to have a story in our music video which involved a girl realising her boyfriend is cheating on her. This eventually leaded her to snap and break a frame with a picture of her and her boyfriend. We decided to ditch this idea because we couldn't find a place where this type of story would fit with the lyrics of the song.

• Location: Stratford, more specifically Westfield. We didn't include shots of the Stratford area as the scenery of that location did not suit or fit with the song. So because of this, we decided to remove it from the the music video.

• Usage of Drums: I was originally going to play drums in this video as I do play drums and we can hear throughout the song, a use of drums. Instead, I decided to change my role from playing drums to playing the piano. This is because the first thing you hear from the song is the piano. I felt that a piano suited the music video more, therefore I play the piano in the music video instead.

What I did on deadline day

Deadline day was really intense for us, we had everyone in our group partcipating.
What I did during that day was to get as much feedback as I could from my teachers and peers and try to work on them.
Our teachers highlighted on what we could improve on such as:

Structure,
Colours,
Lip syncing,
and Edits

I had set out a structure plan on what we could do to implement a smooth structure which our group all helped to edit and implement.
By doing this, it would create a flow to the video as well as have a storybase which audiences could understand.
Editing was another key element I took part in, on which I recommended and implemented several editing techniques we could use in certain shots, one example would be such as fade in and fade out when there was a candle light shot. Moreover, several shots I recommended and help implent in terms of slow motion and transitioning.
