Ancillary Products

1) Cross promotional package
Cross promotional packages are different media forms that work together to promote the same thing. These include music videos, websites, social media and many other media platforms to promote one thing, in this case, our artist.

2) Digipack
Digipacks are a CD package with specific artwork that promotes the artist.

3) Website
A website is an internet page that uses images links and codes to promote the artist.

Conventions of what is included in a Digipack:
- Artist name

- Song list
- Record label
- Colour scheme to match the genre
- Leaflet inside with the description of the album and artist
- Barcode
- Anti-Piracy
- Font types must carefully match genre
- Parental advisory if needed

Conventions of a website:
- Name of the artist
- Album title
- Tour Dates
- Biography
- Shop
- Pictures
- Videos
- Social media
- News
- Discography

The function of a digipak is usually the visual element that comes with the physical hardware of an artists music. Alongside the CD which contains the artist's music, the digipak allows the audience to get a feel of the genre and also know who sings the music in the CD and what they look like. This is all part of promoting an artist.
