Production- Blog task 38, 3rd reflection of editing process

This clip shows one of the biggest area of improvement and debate.My group thought that the use of the flicker at the beginning dramatized the music video and fitted the them of what we were trying to portray. However, both our teachers Louisa and Marrissa viewed it as not fitting the beat of the song as a flicker is used for music with a dramatic beat and 'set fire to the rain' is not  exactly  dramatic. I personally  agreed with this as it didn't flow with the beat. There is more of a piano sound and the flicker sound suits more the sound of drums. So this why we replaced it with an additional piece of footage and simple transitions of base master tracks.
